I'm testing
Server with Feisty (I haven't enought courage to update it)
Clients with Gutsy
The servers are settled with remote greeter to 'plain with facebrowser'.
The clients have 'DisallowTCP=false' in the gdm.conf.

from the console 'X :1 -query <hostname_of_gutsy_machine_running_gdm>' gives only a "dead" X screen (with the X cursor in the middle).
