I'll mark it as confirmed since I get no lincense with de_DE.UTF-8 en_US.UTF-8 and even with C.
also when opening the license window I get an gtk error in the terminal:
(gcalctool:25006): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_text_buffer_emit_insert: assertion `g_utf8_validate (text, len, NULL)' failed
