what "previous version"?
This is the first version in Ubuntu:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/g15daemon

libg15 1.2.3 has some problem with non G15 keyboard,
so maybe the update libg15 1.2.2 to 1.2.3 caused you the problem.

The version 1.2.4 (not yet in Ubuntu) corrected some compatibility
problem.
