I'm closing this bug as invalid,
since the code in question and desired "Convert HSI into a meson tristate-feature"
meanwhile landed in the latest fwupd package 1.8.4-2 in kinetic.
(I did a 'pull-lp-source fwupd kinetic' and double-checked that the patch is in that I used above).
