Bug still present on 8.04. Fully up-to-date system. uname: "Linux linux1 2.6.24-24-generic #1 SMP Tue Jun 30 19:54:36 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux"
Was playing a flash video, totem burped out an error when I closed it (the pulseaudio error I believe). Now totem is embedded like a tick eating 100% of one cpu and won't die. kill -9 has no effect.
