#19: Actually it was working in early betas of Karmic, and I had my Jaunty systmes converted to ext4 and they all worked; or at least "appeared" to work.

This is insane, IMHO; that something fundamental, a GRUB2 entry selection has a feature that is BROKEN, and is not being addressed BEFORE release!
