Something must happen either way for intrepid. Either change 2.2.0 package to reflect the license change as a result of potential infringement, or use the 3 month old 2.2.2 fixes release.

In retrospect, maybe we should have given more of a heads-up after 2.2.2 release, but we thought "POTENTIAL COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT" in the changelog would warrant a swift update.

I stress again that 2.2.0 and previous versions are formally retracted by FPC . The disputed code is available under the GPL (sf.net, freeclx package) though, so relicensing the RTL (and thus effectively every generated binary) under the GPL is possible in an emergency situation. However such a drastic copyright change should be prominently brought to the attention of users.
