I plugged in a Xerox 3160N to my laptop's USB port. The laptop is running precise. The printer is detected as "Xerox Phaser 3160". Printing a test page yielded a page containing the following text:

INTERNAL ERROR - Please use the proper driver.

POSITION : 0x0 (0)

SYSTEM : h6fw_5.35/xl_op

LINE : 167

VERSION : SPL 5.35 06-03-2009

I haven't tried printing over the network yet.
