Driver for HP LaserJet 1018 not working

I have reported this earlier and seen others with similar HP LaserJets do the same.
I thought for a while the problem was solved since my
printer functioned but after reformatting HD and reinstalling 7.04 from scratch today April 14, the problem clearly remains. I believe the driver downloaded from http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com was still active, although I had removed it and reinstalled the driver you supplied.
Current status: The printer will not setup and print with the driver you supply.

You reported in bug #99064 that your printer worked.
You need to install the firmware for your printer model as described in bug #96454 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/foo2zjs/+bug/96454).

I had to do "rmmod uhci_hcd" to get the printer to work for me.
