Bug Description

After some Precise updates, Firefox and Chromium has no flash plugin. It does not appear in about:plugins listing.

Exchanging it by the adobe-flashplugin package solves it.

i can confirm the bug. after the latest dist-upgrade on 12.04 flash-support is missing in firefox.

The packages

flashplugin-installer (11.2.202.228ubuntu3)
flashplugin-downloader (11.2.202.228ubuntu3)

were updated

flashplugin-nonfree (11.2.202.228ubuntu3) precise; urgency=low

  * Only try to tear down old alternatives on package upgrade, not on new
installs; the latter now fails since we're not installing our own
alternative from the postinst anymore. LP: #975426.

As Marius already posted i can confirm that installing "adobe-flashplugin" fixed the issue (and removed flashplugin-installer/downloader)

Flash is working again now

Probably the cause. Installing flashplugin-installer again, flash works.
