Sorry for late answer.
As per my Opinion the main reason for crashes while trying to open sites
with SWF-files is, that Adobes "Macromedia Install-Flashplayer" will not
support the "x86_64"-architecture.
I tried to install this plugin from the Adobe website and got the
appropriate error message.
I never had problems with files like these with Firefox-versions up to
1.5___.
May be, that also the mozilla-gnome support will not work properly,
because , when running SUSE 10.1 (x86_64-version) with Firefox-version
2.__ in KDE, SWF-files will be displayed properly including sound and
animation and all the stuff that belong to such files.
For testing purposes you may try the following site "www.bachpacks.com".
