It does nobody any good to hide behind 'unsupported', 'preview', 'less-than-desirable alternative works fine' when it's clear as to how popular and desired this plugin is to have working. It's fine to use them as an excuse for something breaking, but not to ignore the problem.

Nobody wants a crippled web experience on their 64-bit desktop OS.
