Since the Atom processor is mentioned, I noticed that this problem didn't occur on my Toshiba netbook with a N455 atom processor, but was intolerable on a laptop with dual core Pentium, both with updated Fedora 14.

I am not much affected by this problem, but I do think if you are serious about offering Linux on the desktop, you have to either make it work with Adobe flash, or state publicly that you don't support it. The average user doesn't care squat about whether the coding follows the rules or arguments over who is responsible if it doesn't work. If it works on Win 7 and doesn't work on Fedora, it is Fedora and Linux that take the crap. Period.
