Bug Description

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

Lucid; 10.04

This bug is related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashplugin-nonfree/+bug/616670

Although the download of the actual flash player fails, the package Flashplugin-nonfree status changes to installed. In Firefox, this results in a missing plugin message, while the plugin is installed...

The installation script should have exited with a failed installation instead of a succeeded installation.

My impression is that this has been known for a long time already, and was slated to be fixed. But I could not find a bug report about it. Here's a me-too, and I'm taking the liberty to set the report to Confirmed at the same time. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to set the priority for this bug.

Changed in flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed
