Thanks for your bug report. Have yu tried to upload this (or any other file) to any other place? I tend to think, that this may either be a problem at megaupload or a problem with an firefox addon. Could you please test, if disabling all addons or using a new profile (start 'firefox -P' to get the profile manager) solves the problem?

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Many Firefox issues a caused by conflicting third party addons. Could you please try with a new profile? You don't have to delete your old profile to test.

I reckon this might be to do with Flash, happens on Firefox 3, Firefox 3.5 and Opera.

This has been your first comment. Is this something you are able to reproduce?

Everyone: what version of Ubuntu and what version of flash are you using.
please run the following command:
apt-cache policy flashplugin-nonfree flashplugin-installer

For Ubuntu version please run the following:
lsb_release -a

I have a strong ffeeling this is a website issue not a mozilla one.
Opera is a QT based browser where as mozilla is GTK

affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu) → flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu)

I`ve found a fix! I had google-chrome installed on my system and I did the following
cd /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree
sudo mv libflashplayer.so libflashplayer_BAK.so
sudo cp -l /opt/google/chorme/libgcflashplayer /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so

I created a link from latest google chrome flashplayer into adobe`s broken one. Now megaupload works, vbox7 works and facebook`s petsociety works too.

@heatblazer
That's not a recommended solution. Google Chrome is most likely using the new Flash 10.1 which might have fixed the issue. Please update flashplugin-installer/nonfree to see if that helps.

I`ve tried to clean and install the newest flash but it still freezes, the only solution that worked for me was the one I showed, however I forgot to tell my distro: Ubuntu desktop edition 8.04 LTS latest kernel. I have not tested other distros and tried the fix. I`ll try to make the same with the newest adobeflash nonfree asap and will report right back.
Regards.

Ah, well, in Hardy, flashplugin-nonfree is still version 9 which might
be your issue. I'll see if we have a better solution. Otherwise,
your workaround might be best for now. Jaunty. Karmic, Lucid, and
Maverick all have Flash 10.1.

I use Flash 10.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 amd64 with 2.6.32-22-generic #36-Ubuntu x86_64 and it doesn't work. Too bad be cause I use Megaupload a lot. Also my decclic.qc.ca website from college doesn't work with Linux although I use firefox. So I really need to use Windows for several tasks, which is the only one OS that can do can really do everything I need it to do. I would really like to use only Linux.
