I was experiencing this issue as well. I installed the latest flashblock from Jaunty, and now the problem has changed. If I go to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/ the shockwave object displays a flashblock "play" button, however the flash object does not. Instead, it shows a blank flash box, with a full flash context menu. When I was running the intrepid version of flashblock, I got a similar behaviour, however the context menu contained a "movie not loaded" message which is no longer present. On some sites, such as miniclip.com, flashblock appears to work correctly. I have no idea what is going on, I will try uninstalling the package and installing the xpi directly.
