Firefox always opens in full-screen mode

Firefox opens for me all the time in full-screen mode, no matter what I do to it.
This is very annoying, because I never want it that way, and have to re-size, move etc.

This is confirmed by the duplicate bug 752978.

On closer inspection, bug 752978 specifies "maximum (not f11 style)" and does not confirm this bug.

if the main window is undocked, new windows will open in full screen mode (docked). very annoying and inefficient.

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu and Firefox since that time.

Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric) reached end-of-life on May 9, 2013.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported in a currently supported version of Ubuntu?
