firefox 4- Ubuntu 11.04 opens maximized

I am running FF4 on Ubuntu 11.04 beta 1

Firefox wants to open in a Maximized state. If I remove localstore.rdf from .mozilla it opens once in a non-maximized state but following opens of FF4 resume opening in full maximum (not f11 style). I am unable to specify the positions for the FF4 screen beyond one time... it resets to maximized from the second open onward.

I am having the same issue. It also happens on new window in additional to initial launch. Not sure if it is related, but same thing happens launching ThunderBird.

On closer inspection, this bug specifies "maximum (not f11 style)", while bug 802974 implies actual fullscreen. No longer marked as duplicate.

Mark, you reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Presumably this problem was a one time occurrence and/or is no longer an issue so the bug report can now be closed? If we do not hear from you the bug report will close itself in approximately two months time.
