Actually, the bug may be any one of the bugs tracked at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=252729 or https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288462 -- Stuart has run into this on the launchpad wiki, and I believe it is indeed related to SSL. It would be nice to get at least some explanation here of why this is happening.
Stuart's problem is that the ?action=edit form is /re-loaded/ when pressing Back -- that's why the history is going away, I suspect. The headers on the relevant page look like:
HTTP/1.x 200 OK Date: Mon, 23 May 2005 21:15:30 GMT Server: Apache/2.0.50 (Ubuntu) mod_ssl/2.0.50 OpenSSL/0.9.7d Pragma: no-cache Cache-Control: no-cache Expires: -1 Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=100 Connection: Keep-Alive Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html;charset=utf-8
