Wow. That worked.

I didn't know about the ~/.mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so
I installed the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so by hand

I guess I didn't know that Ubuntu installs it someplace else.

This turned out to be tech support rather than a bug report.
