Thanks for the extra information. A lot of users have had trouble with Firefox running Flash as a separate process in the newer releases. Going to "about:config" in Firefox and toggling dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.libflashplayer.so to false may resolve the issues you are experiencing with Flash. Please let us know if it helps.
