Making this change doesn't have a negative impact on users who don't try to use this feature. However, for people that expect to use Ctrl-Backspace, or Ctrl-Left or Ctrl-Right to jump words in the address bar should be able to.

I agree that this default should be changed in gutsy, independent of discussion upstream.
