I just verified that this bug is still present in Lucid 10.04 (the UNR version installed onto a fully erased drive in a netbook).
(It gets a cookie from Google, but not one from the BBC any more. I'm not sure why not; the "Recent Headlines" smart-bookmark is still present; perhaps BBC changed their cookie practices.)
