fwiw, I think for Gerv's proposed primary scenario (forgive me if I
mis-summarize), "Help distributors convert from HTTP to BT downloads to save
bandwidth without incurring extra user support costs", it's out of the question
to consider stealing (as in, using without informed consent) the user's
resources for someone else's benefit after the user's goal (download complete)
has been reached.

For caring users, prefs to continue seeding should be supported, perhaps with
discoverable UI (maybe akin to Malcolm's "Support" link) to get curious users to
effortlessly become such caring users.
