As mentioned before, <img src="??(bittorrent link)??"/> are not possible/useful.
First, "fallback" is not a standard HTML feature (correct me if I'm wrong), so
that page would not work in any browser. Breaking compatibility is the opposite
of what Open Source tries to do.

Second, BitTorrent takes some time to initialize download (overhead). We would
gain nothing but slow down the page loading process. In would be useful only
for, let's say, >a few MBs, images. Those are usually linked to, not embeeded on
page, as they contain data not everyone is interested in (let's say some
scientific data or photographs); there's still no problem to offer an image over
BT, it's just an ordinary binary file in this case.
