Upload does increase latency. But of course that varies based on the connection
as well.

BitTorrent stinks for dialup users. But broadband users love it. If your on a
network at school or work, you love it even more (since many home broadband
providers have caps).

Then again... on a cable modem with a 3.5Mbps cap. Several downloads at the
same time severely effect my performance.... so should we prohibit multiple
downloads? Of course not. Let the user decide what they want to do.

As said earlier, BitTorrent has stratigic advantage. If certain users don't use
it. That's fine. I'm sure there are users who will never use tabs either. But
that doesn't defeat their worth. Many find them to be a great addition.

I know at school, I can use bittorrent with no real degration of performance.
