My guess is that this bug started when someone fixed mozilla bug [URL = "https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=299988"]299988[/URL] to use libxul/xulrunner.

This seems to have made some changes to the API, not sure what effects that had on this bug if any.

Is it possible to compile a library from the CVS prior to that change to check (I'm not setup to compile mozilla src) this theory? If nothing else this might give a useable version of the library as a stop gap measure.
