Most Mozilla app bugs are due to upstream bugs. Its always best to look for your problem upstream unless you can pin point the problem to Ubuntu only. However we do not require you to look upstream right away. We can decide if it is Mozilla bug or our bug. We will normally ask reporters to look upstream and if you cant find one to reprot the bug upstream and drop the link to this bug report.
