Stan, I've tested the link that you quoted and see exactly the same in Firefox 62, Chrome 69 and Chromium 68. The menu seems to be fully functional. I'll attach a screenshot. Is that what you see? Or do you need to be logged in to the site in order to see the problem?

Hi, Paul, thank you for looking at the bug. It only appears after you have
gone all the way through the process of picking a train, wagon, seats,
registering and so on, when it is time to give your credit card number. I
was always logged into the site when I got this far, as much as I can
remember. I thought it was bizarre that they would have a website problem
right when they were about to get your money, and it wasn't bizarre because
the website has no problem, which I found out when I used Windows.
Something bizarre was in the Ubuntu Firefox thing that prevented the
payment section from responding to my clicks.

Stan, I'm not going to attempt to fix the problem. I'm just trying to clear out old untouched and now irrelevant bugs from Launchpad. I don't doubt that there's an issue here but I can't see this progressing very far if the error is on a web page that is not accessible to one or more developers (Ubuntu or Mozilla) without them registering, making a booking and then attempting to make a purchase just to see what the problem is. I'm very sorry but I don't think I can help you with this.

I understand. However, I found the bug in other locations and added that
to the bug notice in successive comments. Maybe one of them is
sufficiently easily accessible so that the difficulties with RZD goe away.
But do you think the update to 18.04 will have solved it incidentally?

Thank you for digging into this problem. I think it still exists, in
Firefox 63. Yesterday I was trying to buy some auto parts from a classic
car dealer (Larry's Thunderbirds and Mustangs) and the same phenomenon
happened. I could log it, choose the parts, fill out the information on
shipping and credit card, but then when I went to hit the final CONTINUE
button, nothing happened. No notice, no failure dialog box, no nothing. I
immediately went over to my MacAir, and did the identical purchase, not one
iota of difference, and the final CONTINUE button worked instantly and
completed my sale. I have no idea why. On this man's website, there are
many CONTINUE buttons, and they all work under Ubuntu/firefox except the
last one. On the MacAir, I used Safari.

I am sorry I cannot provide any more detailed information, but that is why
I called it a 'delicate problem'.

Hi Stan, the latest example is not something that is reproducible (or not) without registering and attempting to make a purchase. In one of your other bug reports you recognised that Firefox extensions had perhaps caused some of your issues so I assume that you've disabled any or adjusted the setting of any that you might be using when making these purchases. Not sure how to proceed.

Please allow me to continue to use Ubuntu/Firefox in purchase situations
and collect better data. None of the extensions I have would be likely to
cause this by design, but there may be some accidental problem than arises
and I will attempt to isolate it for you.
