Steps to reproduce:

1) mark the following url: http://www.ubuntu.com/
(including the whitespace at the end!)

2) drag and drop it in the 'tabbar'

-> no new tab opens because of the whitespace at the end of the url. Exactly the same happens if there is a leding whitespace. without any whitespace before or after it works as expected.
