i have a fast computer, and on the regular test cases, it scrolls fine and the
cpu usage is at 2% (which a bunch of other programs running). the one with 100
fixed elements scrolls somewhat slower. barely noticable, and still only 2% cpu
usage. it seems that the new builds only minimize the affect of the fixed elements.
