Comment 136 for bug 125970

I've been following this bug for quite a long time. I used to experience it a lot, but after some hardware upgrades many of the pages linked here, as well as the testcases, scroll at an acceptable speed (current setup: WinXP Pro SP2, P4 3.0 GHz with hyperthreading, GF 6600GT, 1.5 GB RAM (although no difference with when I had 512 MB)). However, the following page is still extremely slow:

Both IE7 and Safari hardly have problems with it. In IE7 the text jumps up and down similar to in Firefox, but not as much. Safari is really smooth. I'll try my Linux partition later but expect the same results.
