Yeah, that's weird. Right-clicking does two things. It brings up a context menu and it clears the address bar which then changes to "Search Bookmarks and History".
With the address bar working correctly, right clicking does only one thing, it brings up the context menu, it does not clear the address bar.
Manually clearing the contents of the address when it is stuck also restores normal functionality, though a quick right then left click is faster.
