Big +1; this is a constant problem for me. While loading this very page, I clicked the link twice: when the cursor didn't immediately change to "loading" after clicking the link, I automatically clicked on it again. This is fundamental, standard UI that every other Windows browser has (except for Safari--which itself says something).
