That doesn't sound like you're talking about the busy _cursor_. Do you perhaps mean the throbber which used to be in the upper right corner? It was removed by default, but you can easily reenable it by right-clicking on the menu bar and choosing "Customize", then dragging it wherever you want it.

This bug is about changing the cursor to inidicate activity, which many people (including myself) want back too.
