I've recently noticed that this is exacerbated when other firefox child windows popup during the request for the (multiple) master passwords. For example, it seems that when installing new extensions FF 3b5 now opens the Addons dialog after restart to inform you that your extension was successfully installed. When this dialog opened it was EXTREMELY difficult to enter my master password for the two tabs that required HTTP authentication, because the keyboard focus kept switching from one dialog to another, I'd put the focus manually in one of the master password dialogs, and start typing and it would lose focus and end up in another master password dialog and so I'd end up typing a partial password. Pretty frustrating.

I first noticed this behaviour with the Alert Slider of the ReminderFox application. Disabling the Alert Slider seemed to ameliorate the nastiness associated with this particular BUG.

FYI, this was observed with Fedora 8 x86_64 running Firefox 3.0b5 (x86).
