Comment 423 for bug 195698

Everyone: we know what the problem is (read previous comments), we know that a fix is needed (again, read previous comments), we know that the problem still exists (thus the bug is open), it has been marked as not-blocking (see the blocking status flag).

We acknowledge it sucks. Right now the fix is riskier than the problem, in our opinion, so it will have to wait until a future version, either a stability release or the next version of Firefox. Sorry for the inconvenience to those who use a lot of basic http-auth and/or the master password, truly, we do understand your pain here.
