I, as a normal firefox user, are perfectly happy with the wallpaper master password by using an extension doing exactly that. Later I get lots of prompts for http proxy auth and http auth but at least they are filled out and I can just happily press return. Not such a big deal. Whereas the master password pops up without a password filled in (obviously) and my tests showed that not filling it in every time correctly won't give you all the tabs logged in like you want.

Suggestion: add a toggle to the master password setting dialog for "require password for whole session" with the obvious problem that the session data (history, cookies...) is not really secret by using this password.
