In reverse order of questions, no, I only applied the last one, so I'll go ahead and try with both of them now.

And for the first question, I did/do see prompts for the master password and not dialogs to enter the site specific passwords. Incidentally, only a single one of my tabs, a local nagios page, does http auth and that dialog shows only after entering the master password (with the credentials filled out, of course). The rest are html user/password prompts (and then, as stated, there are the mail and new accounts).
