Mark, indeed it was present in FF2, it seems to be worse in FF3, and it is much worse when other dialogs popup during the same period that the master password is being requested (like the addons update dialog, or after installing a new extension it pops up now to indicate whether the installation was successful or not, personally I prefer dialogs on error, but I'm picky that way) This bug has been a thorn in my side ever since the FF session restore was added.
