For anything transient like that you can just remove the symlink from the "fake" profiles and ff should recreate them, much like I already do for .parentlock.
The databases "shouldn't" be a problem in theory, as long as you don't trigger any write collisions. But in practice, a collision will almost definitely happen eventually. It is a risk which is why I don't purport this to be a real solution.
