I see this issue as well on Ubuntu in dual head mode. (I don't use nvidia's twinview since it won't allow separate LUTs for each monitor.)
Since multi-headed X is a standard Unix feature it would be nice if Firefox handled it correctly. (Ubuntu just now discarded an automatic bug report since Firefox refused to fire up on the first display -I already had FF running on the second display.)
