Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

At seemingly random times (i.e. I can't reproduce this bug on demand) when I right click on a link a small blank window pops up (instead of the expected context menu). The pop-up window's frame has restore and close buttons (and window title 'Firefox' - to be confirmed - can't reproduce this behaviour right now).

When the pop-up's close button is clicked the pop-up disappears and the expected context menu appears; however, when the context menu's 'Open Link in New Tab' item is clicked the context menu closes but nothing happens (i.e. the hyperlink is not opened in a new tab).

The same blank pop-up displays when menu item 'Help -> About Mozilla Firefox' is clicked - no 'About' info appears when this pop-up's Close button is clicked. This behaviour is (currently) consistent. Perhaps a better bug title would be "Help -> About Mozilla Firefox opens blank window".

My 'Update Manager Commit Log for Fri Apr 24 14:53:07 2009' includes "firefox-3.0 (3.0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.2) to 3.0.9+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1". This was the last update before this bug manifested - however bug didn't appear until the following day.
