The bug for the Find Bar is bug 537013. I've marked it blocking bug 565552 :)

Re: this bug: Not pursuing this for the time being. There's awesome work being done on Multi-search [1] (demonstrated in the Product Design at Mozilla presentation [2] as "Search tabs"). That work has a high probability of making this moot.
