It would be good if we synced those two up, I think limi is looking into this.

that's absurd, use notepad or something :)

We might want to momentarily carry the search contents from one tab into a new tab, and clear on page load if the user uses the location bar.

I think overall it is much more likely that the contents of the user's search bar will be unrelated to what they are currently doing in Firefox, since we persist it indefinitely right now.
