browser goes irresponsive easily and frequently

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I'm using ubuntu 8.0.4 with firefox 3.0.3, and the browser goes irresponsive very frequently, especially when visiting pages in these sites: www.camoe.cn/bbs, www.oibh.org/bbs.
installed addons are easy drag-to-go, fire gesture, mediawrap, show picture, tor button and smooth-scrolling.

Hi,

firefox extensions are the cause for the majority of bugs reported against firefox.

To check that the bug you are seeing is actually a firefox one (and not an extension one), please disable your extensions one-by-one (restart firefox in between) until there is either no enabled extension left or your problem is resolved.

Please report your findings back.

Thanks for your help. I think I've figured out. Disabling MediaWrap can solve the problem, and when visiting pages mentioned with MediaWrap enabled, Firefox will call mplayer, which leads to seemingly irresponsive (maybe respond but take a rather long time). But I can't sure whether it's mplayer or MediaWrap that caused irresponsive.
