Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
When starting firefox, it will delay for (on timed average) 3 minutes. When it loads, it is responsive until user attempts to use firefox; change URL, click on homepage link, etc. The delay is slightly less than 3 minutes. Many attempts to reinstall, uninstall and install, and firefox deletions have not fixed this issue. I have also tried using the binary provided by getfirefox.com.
Here are the specs to my desktop where issue occurs:
Linux 2.6.24-21-generic running KDE 3.5.9, CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz at 3216 MHz (6432 bogomips), HD: 722/1232GB, RAM: 2472/3035MB.
This does not happen on my two other laptops (HP and Dell).
All 3 running Kubuntu 8.04 with all updates applied.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.
