Confirmed on XP Pro SP3.

I have Kaspersky 2009 installed (v. 8.0.0.454). I run XP Professional SP3. I have the same problem. It seems like it happens once, the first time after clicking "bookmarks" after opening firefox. It only seems to happen if you CLICK on the menu (versus clicking on Tools and sliding the mouse to the left).
