I have Adobe Reader and Acrobat X Pro.

My problem is identical to Jerry's; Acrobat/Reader steals my touchpad's scrolling functions from my active tab, even when opened via middle click or ctrl+click.

The touchpad on my system uses Synaptics drivers, and I'm running Windows 7 Pro.
