If one of the two options needs to be disabled by default as a workaround, I
strongly believe that contentLoadURL must be left ON. As David eloquently
explained, middle-clicking to paste the content of the clipboard is the default
behaviour of UNIX/Linux. I don't see any reason autoscroll should take
precedence over it.
